As the days passed, Sarah became more and more convinced that she was communicating with Tommy's ghost. She didn't tell anyone else, afraid of what they might think. But she talked to him every night, telling him about her day and asking for his guidance.
One evening, as she was sitting alone in the living room, she heard Tommy's voice again.
"Sarah, there's something I need to tell you," he said.
"What is it, Tommy?" she asked, her heart racing.
"I've become an angel, Sarah. I'm watching over you and the kids from the other side."
Sarah was shocked. "An angel? Tommy, is that possible?"
"I don't know, Sarah," Tommy's ghost replied. "But I know that I'm here with you, and that's all that matters."
Sarah sat in silence for a few moments, trying to process what she had just heard. Finally, she spoke up.
"Tommy, why are you here? Why did you come back to me?"
"I'm here to protect you and the kids, Sarah. And there's something else... I'm haunting the pilot of the plane that crashed."
Sarah was taken aback. "What? Tommy, why would you do that?"
"Because I need to make sure that he learns his lesson, Sarah. He needs to understand the gravity of what he did, and the pain he caused. I don't blame him for the crash, but I can't rest until I know that you and the kids are safe."
Sarah felt a chill run down her spine. She didn't know what to say.
"Tommy, I don't know if I can handle this. It's too much for me to handle."
"I know, Sarah. But you're strong. You'll get through this. And I'll be here with you every step of the way."
Sarah didn't know what to believe. She had never been a religious person, but the idea of Tommy's ghost becoming an angel and watching over her was comforting. It gave her a sense of purpose, a reason to keep going.
"Tommy, can I see you?" she asked.
"I'm not sure, Sarah. I don't know if I have that kind of power."
Sarah felt a pang of disappointment. She wanted to see Tommy again, to feel his presence. But she knew that it might not be possible.
"Okay, Tommy. I'll trust you. I'll trust that you're here with me, even if I can't see you."
"Thank you, Sarah. I'll always be here for you."
As Sarah went to bed that night, she felt a sense of peace that she hadn't felt since Tommy's death. She knew that she wasn't alone, that Tommy's ghost was watching over her and the kids. And somehow, that was enough.
