Days after the accident, Sarah tried to settle into a new routine. But everything felt wrong without Tommy by her side. She went through the motions of daily life, but she felt like a robot, disconnected from the world.
One evening, as she was sitting alone in the living room, she heard a knock at the door. She got up to answer it, but when she looked through the peephole, there was no one there.
Just as she was about to turn away, she heard a whisper in her ear. "It's me, Sarah. Tommy."
She spun around, searching for the source of the voice. But there was no one in the room with her.
"Tommy?" she said, her heart racing. "Is that you?"
There was no reply, but Sarah felt a strange presence in the room. She couldn't explain it, but it felt like Tommy was with her, even though he was gone.
Over the next few days, Sarah heard the voice of Tommy more and more often. At first, she was afraid to tell anyone, thinking that she was losing her mind. But as Tommy's voice grew more insistent, she confided in Julie.
"I think I'm hearing Tommy's voice," Sarah said, her voice shaking. "Am I going crazy?"
Julie shook her head. "No, Sarah. Maybe... maybe it's a sign. Maybe Tommy is trying to reach out to you."
Sarah didn't know what to think. But as the days passed, she began to realize that Julie might be right. Tommy's voice was too real to be just in her head.
One night, as Sarah was lying in bed, she heard Tommy's voice again. "I'm here, Sarah. I'm watching over you and the kids."
She sat up, looking around the room. "Tommy, where are you?"
There was no reply, but she felt a comforting presence in the room. She knew that Tommy was with her, even if she couldn't see him.
The next morning, Sarah woke up feeling more at peace than she had in days. She felt like she had a purpose, like she had something to hold onto. Tommy's ghost was with her, and that was enough to keep her going.
