Emma and Josh had always wanted to do missionary work together. They prayed for the opportunity to serve God in a foreign land, and it finally came. They were going on a mission trip to Rwanda.
As they packed their bags, Emma felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness. She had never been to Africa before, and she didn't know what to expect. Josh, on the other hand, had been on mission trips before and felt confident in their ability to make a difference.
When they arrived in Rwanda, they were greeted by a warm and welcoming community. The people were eager to show them their way of life, and Emma and Josh were grateful for the opportunity to learn about the local culture.
As they began their work, Emma and Josh quickly realized how much they could accomplish together. They visited orphanages, hospitals, and schools, sharing their faith and providing much-needed resources.
During one particularly difficult day, Emma felt overwhelmed by the suffering she witnessed. She turned to Josh, tears in her eyes, and said, "I don't know if I can do this. It's too much."
Josh took her hand and said, "We can do this. We're here for a reason. Remember, we're not alone. God is with us, every step of the way."
Those words gave Emma the strength she needed to continue. Over the next few days, they saw the impact of their work firsthand. They watched as children's faces lit up with joy at the sight of a new soccer ball, and as sick patients were healed through the power of prayer.
As they prepared to leave, Emma and Josh knew they would never forget their time in Rwanda. They had seen God's love in action, and they were forever changed because of it.
